Jemima Massey enters into heavenly glory

Mrs. Jemima Massey was born to Helen and Luke J. Devia, on August 15th, 1947. She was their most beloved second child and only daughter.


Jemima’s primary education began in the Christian Girls School in Sialkot. After completing her primary education Jemima attended the prestigious Kinnard College. After graduating, Jemima qualified as a teacher at St. Dennys Christian School in Murree. From a young age Jemima had a passion for the Lord; the trait that she inherited and fruitfully utilized in her life.


On July 10 1969 Jemima Luke married David Massey. On April 8th 1970, her eldest Son was born – Marven. Kingdom Principles of Financial Increase In Kingdom Principles of Financial Increasethe winter of 1970 she immigrated to Canada to join her Husband. Jemima along with David were one of first Pakistani Christian’s in the Toronto area and were instrumental in establishing the Christian Community as well as growing in their Christian beliefs.


On June 24, 1977 her second Son Melvin was born. During this time Jemima became very ill but by Lords grace and all the prayers, Jemima was restored to full health. Pastor Ralph Glagau was a very strong support for the family during this difficult time period. Jemima attended the Humberlea Church of God for a number of years along with her family. Soon after Jemima’s illness, she developed a deep personal relationship with the Lord and the roots of faith established by her parents began to grow and take hold of her spirit.


In 1986, Jemima and David along with her two sons moved to Brampton, Ontario. They began to attend Brampton Christian Family Church. Under Pastor Sue Kietley’s guidance and love, Jemima continued to grow and thrive in the Lord’s ways. Soon after Jemima and David heard the Lord’s calling to the Ministry specifically for the South Asian community and founded the Agape Prayer Center. Jemima and David also began their official studies to obtain their Bachelor of Theology at Master College.


After a very brief illness, on July 15, 2008 Jemima Massey entered into heavenly glory and received her crown of jewels for the faithful and blessed. Jemima was a living example of a truly faithful and blessed life. She had endless love and compassion for all whom she knew. Her qualities were endless and for that reason she will be terribly missed dearly by her friends, acquaintances, colleagues and most of all by her beloved family.
