It was such a privilege and joy seeing Rakhi Sawant (film actress) confess about her strong faith in the Lord Jesus before millions of viewers on the Indian TV that went live around the world recently.
For the first time in the history of Indian television a known celebrity, Rakhi Sawant, chose her life partner in a televised reality show named “Rakhi Ka Swayamvar”. Rakhi prayed to Lord Jesus on TV before choosing her would-be-husband from final contestants.
Her confession of strong faith in Lord Jesus was such a powerful evangelism message for all, especially in India as she comes from a Hindu background.

What’s your idea of God?
God is everywhere, for me I find him in Jesus.
Do you make a distinction between Religion and spirituality?
Religion is created by man but spirituality comes from within.
Do you feel that something / someone keeps you protected?
Yes, Jesus loves me, He cares for me and always protects and guides me.
How do you practice spirituality in your personal life?
I read the Holy Bible everyday and apply its teachings to my daily life. God is very important part of my life. I connect with Him everyday.
Who or what are your spiritual ideals / inspirations?
Jesus is my inspiration.
Please define what ‘happiness’ means to you.
Happiness is finding contentment with whatever you have. You can find happiness when you are at peace with yourself and you can find happiness in God.
What’s your personal solution for communal harmony in India?
Love everyone around you just as you love your own self. Treat people around you just as the way you would want them to treat you.
Do you have a mind talisman?
Spending time with Jesus in prayer gets my mind refreshed, anytime.
